Howdy out there in DLand.
Yup. I made it to New York City in one piece. The time getting here was so fast and the plane right went smoothly. Thank god. I wasn't looking forward to flying into NYC.
Um. So yea. We haven't done a whole lot today. We took an hour and a half long shuttle ride to the hotel with 8 other random people. One being a heroine/crack addict that was going through withdrawal (well..we thought so anyways) and he was actually pretty cool. He gave us directions for the subway..but then he fell asleep and it was really funny. I pulled out the video camera and taped him. Me and Kim thought it was pretty funny.
Then we got to the hotel and got situated, then headed down to Times Square to eat at Planet Hollywood. We had a hot waiter, but he definitely wasn't Sean :( Oh well.
Next we went over to TRL for shits and giggles to try and get tickets to get on. So we stood in this standby line for over and hour, almost positive we weren't getting on..until this blonde chick comes down and checks for ID, then snaps MTV bands on our wrists. Hell yea!!
I was so excited. We had to stand outside for a little while longer, then they took us up to the studio, gave directions, metal detectors, etc..and then let us into the room. It was so weird being there in real life..instead of just seeing it on TV.
They gave us a bunch of directions..like to clap and scream real loud, ooh and ahh, and laugh at Carson's jokes. lol.
Finally Carson came out, and it was wild. I had my mom tape the show back at home so that I can watch it and see..although I know we were on camera a few times. eek! National television!
And then came the best part, ADAM SANDLER! Omg it was so cool..he looks, acts and sounds exactly like he does in his movie. I wanted to to get a picture with him, or an autograph but we had to leave everything outside the studio and then he left after his segment. hmph. Oh well..it was an awesome time and I honestly never thought we would get in there.
Oh yea. We also saw Mike Tyson cruising around town in this sleek SUV..blasting music. haha.
After TRL, we went to a couple stores, got stared at by random foreign guys, then we went to get some dinner..and now we are here.
We are so tired though. It's been a loooong day. So we are headed back to the hotel for maybe a quick workout, a movie and then bed.
Long day of shopping tomorrow :)
