carrie's baby
10:17 p.m. - february 6th 2003

A little while ago I recieved the news from my friend Sarah, that my friend Carrie went into labor last night. No news as to whether the baby was born yet or not (which I'm assuming it was though) But I'm sure I'll be finding out sooner or later.

I'll explain..I've known Carrie since we were in kindergarten, 5 years old. We went to school together till 8th grade. After that, we went off to separate high schools. We were never real close friends, but I still considered her a good friend. After 8th grade, we saw each other every 2 weeks at our CCD classes. The whole 8th grade reunited. haha. But since our confirmation last May, I haven't seen nor talked to her. I heard the news about her pregnancy from a mutual friend (either Sarah or Halley..can't remember) so yea. I'm hoping all is well with her and her new baby. And I'm hoping that I will be able to visit them before I leave for college in the fall.

But yea. The point of the story is to show how weird it is. I've known her since we were 5 years old (pretty much most of my childhood). We graduated 8th grade together. And here she is, a mom. It's just so..surreal. I guess thats the word I wanna use.

Okay. So my day was alright. I entertained Sean in psych with my stories about my boss and his 500 lb father. Quite amusing I'd say. Although I still don't understand why he wants to be an armadillo in his next life..

Then for gym it was some more volleyball action. We played the foreign guys team. twice. heh heh. He's so funny, he gets all into the game and stuff. AHH! He's beautiful. And I absolutely ADORE his accent. ahhhh..

Economics was funny. I guess I am beginning to like that class - whether I want to or not. Ashley and Alexa spent the whole class making this huge sign for this guy Kelly that they suddenly became obsessed with. Then they were figuring out his class schedule. It was hilarious.

I watched that 2 hour interview tonight on 20/20 with Michael Jackson. It was very..weird. But also very interesting. I guess once you get to see his side of things, he doesn't seem so weird after all. I guess I can even understand why he has his kids wear masks in public so they aren't exposed to the media and papparazzi. Thats no way for a kid to live.

And lastly. Thank god tomorrow is friday. ahhh. I am looking forward to some rest and relaxation. And unfortunately, starting on some projects that need finished by february 19th. ugh.
