HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
So my Easter turned out pretty good. Despite the non-traditional one we had this year. We didn’t dye eggs, our baskets weren’t hidden – just sitting on the kitchen table, and when we came downstairs, we got them. It wasn’t like a family ordeal. I mean I know I’m 18 and all, but a part of me still wanted to dye eggs and search for that basket in the morning. Growing up sucks sometimes.
In my basket I got a pajama set, 2 DVDs, and some candy. It was nice.
Around 11, my family and I headed out to church. We went to our regular parish and it took soooo long. There were so many little kids there too, so all you could hear during the mass was little kids crying, sniffling, yelling, you name it. lol.
At 2, we went over to my grandparent’s house for our Easter party with my mom’s side of the family. That’s always interesting since my mom has five brothers and everyone is SO loud. lol. It’s fun though. I played with Julia a lot of the time. She is so cute! You can do something, and then right away she’ll imitate you. It’s funny. And then Veronica was passed out in peoples arms the whole time. Guy brought his karaoke machine and we set it up in the living room and sang away. I suck but oh well. We all had fun.
We headed home about 6 or so. Kim called and wondered if I wanted to go cruising in the 1966 Nova with her. hell yea! So she picked me up and we drove around for a bit, then went to visit Steph and see if she wanted to join, and she did. So we were cruising around town, and all three of us were riding in the front seat (Blue Crush style!) we got a lot of beeps and stares. lol. I renamed Kim’s car, “The Wonder Years car” cause it looks like a car from that show. haha.
Eventually we met up with Katie, and decided to go and visit Steve since his dad wouldn’t let him leave his house. Once we got there we hung around, shooting baskets and stuff. When it started to rain, Steph and Kim left. Me and Katie hung around and talked some more with Steve, as it poured outside. We were running around getting soaked and jumping in puddles. It was fun. Then when it started storming, we left as well.
When I got home, I made my plans with Cara, Kim and Miranda. Stephen decided not some come because of his 8 o’clock class the next morning. So we headed out to Harborcreek to pick up Miranda. And then we went to Perkin’s. A short while later, Amy, Adam and Kyle showed up. We all sat around and talked, ate, and laughed – a lot. It was a ton of fun.
Afterwards we drove around for awhile, then headed home since I had to be home by 2:30.
When I got home, I showered and went to bed. As soon as I drifted off, my cell phone rang and it was Kim. I didn’t answer cause I couldn’t function well. So I’m hoping it wasn’t anything real important! I’ll call her today..
Now I’m off to finish some laundry that is due for a much needed wash.
Hope everyone had a great Easter!
