Over the course of my short 17 years of life I have learned many things. Probably the most important thing, that will remain with me the rest of my life is friends.
Friends. Throughout your life you have many friends. Some are just aquantinces, some are people you will talk to in school but that's about it. Then are the ones that you THINK are your friends, the one who will act like a friend to you then turn right around and talk about you behind your back, And then, there are your true friends. The friends you meet that will stick with you forever. One's that will come into your life and leave footprints in your heart, and you are never ever the same.
To me, I have many definitions of what a true friend is....
A true friend is one who you can sit with for hours upon end, not say a single word, and walk away feeling like you just had the best conversation of your life.
A true friend is one who believes in you, one who will encourage you to follow your dreams and to be the best you can possibley be.
A true friend is one who you can trust. You can tell this person anything and they won't tell a soul. They will take this secret to their grave.
A true friend is one who even if you just sit around you can alway's find something to laugh about, or something to do.
A true friend is one who will not betray you, no matter what happens. They will stick by your side through thick and thin, while all along being there to help you out.
A true friend is one you can share your hopes and dreams with, and no matter how funny, or insignificant they might sound, your friend won't laugh at you, or tell you that it's silly.
A true friend is one who you can sit and laugh with for hours, even if what you are laughing at is so childish. And then you can look back at all the good laughs you shared, and share even more laughs.
A true friend is one who is honest. They will never lie to you, or beat around the bush. The truth may hurt sometimes but sometimes it's best coming from someone you completely trust.
A true friend is one who is there for both the good times and the bad. They will be there for all the tears, and all the laughs.
A true friend is one who you can sit and cry with. If you are having a bad day, you are in it together to help cheer eachother up.
A true friend is one who you know you'll be friends with forever. Even when you get older and start to grow apart and go your separate ways, you will always find a couple of spare minutes in your day to call them up and see how they've been, how their day went. You can look back on all the memories together and cry, and realize that those days were truly the best days of your life.
Of course these are only some of my definitions...I have many more but I would be here for days. But the point I'm trying to get at is to find your true friends and stick with them.
