I’M HOME!!!
sigh. So unfortunately I am no longer in the great city of New York. blah. But I guess I don’t mind being back..it kind of feels good to be back. I was rather sick of being stared and whistled at by random foreign guys. lol.
So you already know what happened on thursday..but I’ll do a quick recap for ya;
THURSDAY- woke up and drove to buffalo, then flew to NYC. met our crack fiend friend while on the shuttle to the hotel. got to the hotel checked in. went to eat at planet hollywood. went over to MTV studios to wait in line for TRL. saw mike tyson drive by. got tickets. went to TRL and met adam sandler and carson daly. went shopping for a little bit. went to the internet café and then went back to the hotel for the night.
FRIDAY- we woke up to crappy weather. It was cold and rainy. blah. So me and Kim bought some umbrellas from the souvenir shop cause we forgot to bring them from home. Then we headed downtown by Macy’s and did some shopping. We spent most of the time around that area and shopped at the stores around there. Unfortunately the weather put a damper on the day. But then around 4:30 we headed back to the hotel and dropped our stuff off, then met up with Tabitha and her mom to have dinner. We went to “The Olive Garden”. It was yummy. When we finished eating, me, Kim and Tabitha headed over to Marymount to go to the play the college was putting on – “The Winters Tale” it was surprisingly really good..but 3 hours long cause it was a Shakespeare play. But it was still good. After the play it was after 11 o’clock so we got on the subway and went to drop Tabitha off at her hotel – only getting lost a couple times. lol. Then me and Kim just decided to take a taxi back to our hotel since we didn’t feel like getting lost in the subway again. When we got back to the hotel we got ready for bed, watched some TV and went to sleep.
SATURDAY – we had to wake up a little earlier to get over to Marymount for Kim’s tour and audition. We got there a little early so we stopped at this cute diner for breakfast. Then we headed to the college for the tour. It’s a nice school but very small – only about 1,400 students. Plus it’s not much of a college setting, it’s just 2 buildings with the classes and then the dorms are about 15 blocks away. oh well. It’s located in NYC so that’s all that matters. lol. Then after the tour, Kim had to go to her audition, so me, Tabitha and her mom went to this dance show put on by MMC’s dance program. It was really good. I love dance. After the show ended, Tab and her mom left and I went to the lounge to wait for Kim. I fell asleep. haha. Then around 5:30 she got out and we left and got some dinner. Planet Hollywood again. go figure. On the way back, we stopped at some little souvenir shops. We also stopped to get our palms read. It was so weird – the things she said. Apparently I’m going to meet my soulmate within the next two year, and I am going to have 4 kids..three boys and one girl. Which is exactly what I want. It was soo weird! Then we headed back to the hotel. Once at the hotel, we were watching people out the window and these 2 people across the street at another hotel yelled to us out the window and invited us to go clubbing with them. lol. We were all yelling across the street. But we didn’t go because you had to be 21 and they were most likely going to card. So we stayed in and went to sleep instead.
SUNDAY – we got up and headed out to go shopping again. We started out by Macy’s again and shopped there for a little while, then got on the subway and went over to Rockefeller Center. We got tickets for the NBC tour, and then went to a couple stores around there. At 2:30 we went on our tour, and it was so cool. We saw the sets of Conan O’Brian, The Caroline Rhea Show (formerly Rosie O’ Donnell’s set) and Saturday Night Live. We also learned a lot about the shows too. It was awesome. And it definitely confirmed my choice of majors. I think it would be so much fun to work behind the scenes of TV shows. We weren’t allowed to go to the news floors because of the war coverage. After the tour, we got back on the subway and went to the site of the World Trade Center. Which was so weird. It looks a whole lot like it did last year – one big hole in the ground with a lot of construction going on around it. It’s really sad. On the way back to the subway, I bought this mosaic poster of the WTC put together with a bunch of pictures from 9.11. It’s really cool. Then we went to get some dinner, went to a couple more stores, and then headed back to the hotel and started packing our stuff so we’d be ready in the morning.
MONDAY – we got up around 9:30 and got our stuff all packed up. Then me and Kim went for a walk to look for the subway we were going to take to the airport, but it was really confusing and we didn’t want to lug all of our bags down the subway. So we decided to take a car instead. We went back to the hotel and called for the car, then checked out and waited for the guy to come. He came around 12:15, and we headed for the JFK airport. Once we got to the airport and got everything checked in and through security, we sat and waited for our plane to leave. The plane ride was only about an hour, which was nice. I got the window seat this time. It was so pretty looking out the window at the cities below. We landed in Buffalo around 4:30, and Kim’s mom picked us up and we headed home to good ol’ Erie.
And here I am.
So all in all I had a great time. It was awesome being in NYC, not having to have a set schedule, and no parents! lol. Not like we actually did anything bad anyways.
But yea. I need to go finish unpacking all of my things, and go show off my mucho cool things I bought on my trip :)
Bye for now!
