Okay so now that I'm caught up on my sleeping patterns, here is my prom story..
I woke up around 10 ish (still completely groggy from the previous night) and I couldn't fall back asleep, so I just got up for good.
I started getting ready by shaving my legs and re-painting my toe nails. A perfectly pretty and sparkly purple to match my dress. lol.
Then I just kinda lounged around till about 12:45 when I went to pick up Shelby for our hair appointments. That was fun. My hair turned out a tad different from how I wanted it, but it was okay because I liked it better anyways. Just a ton of curls stacked on the top of my head. Shelby's hair turned out really cute too. We both left satisfied.
After that I ran to KMart to buy some stuff to french tip my nails. Pretty diamonds. Then home to get ready.
Once I finished my nails I went to pick up Steve's boutoneer (spelled right?) Then it was back home to finish getting ready. I think my makeup looked good. I made my eyes very purpleish with eyeliner and mascara and then some blush and sparkles to finish it off. I got done right around the time Aunt Linda, Busia and Steve were set to arrive.
When I went downstairs my mom was sitting there with the video camera and my Aunt started crying. lol. It was funny. The Steve got there. We did the whole boutoneer/corsage thing (my corsage was very pretty) and then we took a bunch of pictures..some by the car. A mini Cooper. It's a cute car. lol.
Then we headed off to Cara's house, took more pictures and then went to DQ to take even more pictures. Finally we made it to dinner, which was at the Manacore. Dinner was fun. All 12 of us sitting around this big table. Me & Steve, Kayla & Brian, Steph & Kevin, Jackie & Kyle, Shelby & Tom, & Cara & Mike. And the food was good, I got a chicken caesar salad. yum.
After dinner we went down to the dock to take pictures. It was coooold but the sunsetting in the background was pretty. After we took some pictures we left cause we were so cold. Me, Steve, Kyle, Jackie, Cara and Mike headed down to the beach to take a few pictures. Once we got there we decided against it because we didn't wanna get our shoes and dresses all sandy.
Finally we headed to Rainbow Gardens for the prom. lol. It was pretty nice..lots of balloons and stuff. Most of the night was spent mingling between people and taking lots and lots of pictures (which I am going to post either today or sometime this week!)and dancing. Steve is a fairly good dancer, although he only danced during the slow songs. oh well. Then they announced King & Queen (Joe Marsili and Anne Klapthor) not the people I voted for, but oh well.
We stayed at the dance a little longer and then around 11:30 we decided to leave. Everyone went home and changed and then came back to my house. Steve left for a little while and then came back. We were all so tired that we just collapsed in my living room and watched "American Pie 2" I fell asleep in the recliner. lol.
Around 2:30 Steve headed out, and then about 3 when the movie ended Kevin, Steph, Cara and Mike left.
And that was my senior prom. Yes, I had a good time and I was so glad it went well.
