Okay. Call me crazy, but how can you know after 7 months of dating, AND being just 17, that you wanna spend the rest of your life with someone?
Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. But my friend just told me now that she got engaged to her boyfriend. She's 17, he's like 18 or 19. Yea, they've been dating for about 7 months, but he hasn't been around for a good 6 of those months. He's in the army like way out in Timbucktoo. He came home for christmas and was home for about 3 weeks when they first started dating.
They communicate mainly by letters, occasionally by phone or email. Other than that..they dont talk a whole lot. He can't - he's in training all the time.
So now they are supposidly getting married. I wanna be happy for them, I really do. But yet, I don't wanna see her get hurt. I haven't even met him, but I have heard plenty about his reputation. ugh. Apparently they aren't even planning on getting married for another 2 years.
I guess we'll see how it goes..
